Personal bio
I am a Nigerian and also practices in Nigeria.
I obtained LL.B (Hons.) from Bayero University, Kano from 1998 to 2003 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2004.
I started my practice at Messrs. K. T. Turaki & Co., a firm founded and managed by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, from 2004 to 2007, where I was exposed to the rigours of this profession especially in advocacy skills.
In 2007, I started a partnership with a friend and colleague before I eventually went solo by establishing S. S. Gezawa & Co. in the year 2010. Over the years, S. S. Gezawa & Co. served as a platform for mentoring new wigs and supporting them in becoming good ambassadors of the legal profession.
I have prosecuted and defended cases in all the hierarchy of the Nigerian courts system and equally drafted, perused and franked intricate commercial contracts in the course of my practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
In 2012, I obtained Masters in Business and Commercial Law from Bayero University, Kano and was sworn as a Notary Public in the same year.
In the year 2015, I became a member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and also a member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators in the year 2017. These exposed me to the world of arbitration where I participated as counsel in various domestic arbitral proceedings in Nigeria.
