Personal bio
Maria is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a testified Delay Expert with over 30 years’ experience in different parts of the world. In addition to her BSc degree in civil engineering, she possesses MSc degrees in Structural Engineering and also Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from King’s College London. Maria has held various positions whilst working for contractors, ranging from construction to commercial management. Most importantly her on-site experience as a planning engineer, has provided her with an in-depth understanding of planning, programming and delay matters. This has enabled her to apply her skills as a programme analyst to demonstrate delay events and their subsequent effects. Maria frequently acts as party appointed delay expert on national and international projects in various sectors including public and high rise building construction, infrastructure, shipbuilding, FPSOs, nuclear energy, wind power, and oil & gas industry. Maria is fluent in both English and Greek.
