Personal bio
I graduated with a Degree in Construction Economics and Management from Dublin Institute of Technology, Bolton Street in 2008. Initially I worked with Nolan Ryan Tweeds, part of the WYG group of businesses, and subsequently moved on to Carron + Walsh in February 2011, becoming Associate Director in 2017 and Director in 2023.
I am a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with the SCSI and RICS and have continued my education completing an Expert Witness course with La Touche Training in 2021, becoming a RICS accredited Mediator in 2023 and completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Construction Law and Contract Administration in Trinity College Dublin in 2024.
I have over sixteen years’ experience in the construction industry and have acquired important experience in dispute resolution and the procurement of civil, commercial, industrial, residential, educational and listed facilities in the Construction Sector in Ireland, the Caucasus area and the Middle East with experience using various forms of contract including the Public Works Contract, RIAI and FIDIC.
My dispute resolution experience includes without prejudice negotiations in accordance with the Public Works Contracts, acting on the Employer’s behalf on the Project Board, acting as a Professional Witness and an Advocate for the Employer at Conciliation, being a Mediator and acting as an Expert Witness in Mediation and Litigation proceedings.
