I am an internationally trained transactional lawyer with over 10 years cumulative expertise in Corporate governance and secretariat services, Strategic and Operational Management, Corporate Law, Regulation and Compliance and Mortgage Financing. I started my career in private legal practice then built a dual career by excelling in roles in financial services and law particularly company secretariat duties and legal advisory, mortgage banking, regulatory compliance and filing, corporate governance implementation , credit underwriting and portfolio management I have a wealth of experience in company secretariat duties including board engagement and management, meeting coordination, minute writing and recording, regulatory filings, investor relations, policy writing and manual updates to regulatory compliance, board packs and stakeholder information distribution. In current times, while consulting, I have helped as part of a team develop the corporate governance framework of several companies both publicly quoted and privately owned. I also conduct training in corporate governance compliance and best practices. I have advised in my capacity as a corporate governance expert and as part of a team in several trans-national financing deals concluded the raising of over N3.5billion in a mortgage bank sale in Nigeria and managing a $4.7billion loan portfolio with over 22,000 customers in North America. I hold a Masters’ Degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland and a Masters in Business Administration from the prestigious Imperial College Business School, London, United Kingdom. I also have a certification in Leadership from the Said Business School, University of Oxford, United Kingdom. I am a Fellow of the Corporate Governance Institute Canada. I am also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria and the Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria.
