Personal bio
Michael is a quantity surveyor, chartered construction manager, and an RICS registered expert witness in quantum. He has over 22 years of experience in the construction industry and has been appointed as a Quantum Expert on a number of occasions. Michael holds a bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, a master's degree in construction law, and a diploma in international arbitration. He is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an associate member of the Academy of Experts. Michael’s expertise includes quantity surveying practice, valuation of damages, disruption and loss of productivity, and the assessment of variations in construction and engineering disputes. He has provided commercial advice on formal dispute resolution, claims preparation and contract administration services for clients across varied sectors in the construction and engineering industry. This includes oil and gas, power generation, major infrastructure projects, airports, schools, residential and commercial developments, and hotel projects across the UK, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australasia.
