Anastasiya Ugale is an international legal counsel and arbitrator with over a decade of experience in international law and dispute resolution. She specializes in international disputes in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Born in Russia and raised in Ukraine, Anastasiya is a native Russian speaker. She is also fluent in English, Ukrainian and has a working level of French. Anastasiya has represented investors and States in international investor-State and commercial arbitration under the ICSID, UNCITRAL, LCIA, SCC and ICC arbitration rules. Her industry experience covers gold and uranium mining, telecommunications, large-scale farming, construction, electricity generation, renewables, infrastructure development, and technology industries. She regularly publishes on issues of international law and dispute resolution. Anastasiya is an editor of International Investment Law & Arbitration Wiki at Jus Mundi and a co-author of an upcoming commentary on the ICSID Arbitration Rules, 2022.
