Personal bio

C. K. Nandakumar completed his B. A. LL. B (Hons.) from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, in 2001. He is designated as a Senior Advocate by the High Court of Karnataka. He heads the Law Chambers of C. K. Nandakumar, which is a chamber of ten lawyers with focus areas of practice of commercial and corporate disputes, banking matters and arbitration – domestic and international. The practice includes matters relating to joint venture disputes, shareholder disputes and corporate insolvency. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, U. K. and coordinates the activities of the CIArb in Bangalore and Karnataka. He is a Certified Arbitrator, Indian Institute for Arbitration and Mediation. He is also a Member of Insol International. He was recently selected to the ICC Advanced Arbitration Academy for Asia. He is also on the India Advisory Committee for the International Centre for Dispute Resolution. He is a Senior Fellow of the the Bali International Arbitration and Mediation Center, by invitation. He is a Regional Ambassador for the HK 45, an initiative of the H. K. I. A. C. He is a contributing editor of C. R. Dutta commentary on The Company Law, 2017 edition. He has contributed to International Construction Contract Law, 2nd Edition. He is a Guest Faculty at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He is also routinely invited to various speaking engagements. He is a President Scout and in his free time, loves reading, movies and music. He is also a wildlife and nature enthusiast, having been on several treks and camps.
