He is now reading an LLM at the University of Georgia School of Law, Athens, Georgia, USA, as a recipient of the Georgia Law International Scholar Award, the Dean's Merit Scholarship, the John A Sibley Scholarship and the Louis B Sohn Fellowship. His thesis, forthcoming Spring 2025, centres upon the available equitable instruments in US corporate law and ‘wrongful trading’ in UK insolvency law (Insolvency Act 1986, s 214) in the context of creditors' claims against misfeasant directors of insolvent companies breaching fiduciary duties. Mr Kuo is also a member of the American Society of International Law and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Mr Kuo has extensive experience in legal business development including high stake bids, pitches and proposals support; Sino–Anglo legal markets entry; and international arbitration and cross border disputes client relations.

Having lived in the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Taiwan makes Mr Kuo a well rounded and versatile communicator. His approach to cross border and cross culture dispute resolution is unique: he acts as a holistic and diplomatic bridge to bring people together, harmonise tensions and persuade compromises.
