Anton Maltsev, MCIArb, LL.M. in International Business Law, Ph.D. in Private International Law.
Mr Maltsev is a partner at Melling, Voitishkin and Partners (formerly Baker McKenzie Russia) and heads the firm's arbitration practice. He has represented clients as counsel in arbitrations under the rules of the ICC Court of Arbitration, the SCC Arbitration Institute, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (ICAC), and has acted as arbitrator (both individually and as part of a three-member panel) under the Rules of the Maritime Arbitration Commission of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (MAC), the Russian Arbitration Centre (RAC) and the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre (TIAC).
Mr Maltsev is a Russian advocate with full audience rights in all Russian courts, and also represents clients in cross-border proceedings before certain foreign courts, in particular the Astana International Financial Centre Court (Kazakhstan).
Mr Maltsev's areas of expertise include civil law (including contract law issues, in particular sale and purchase of goods; works & services contacts, including construction contracts; carriage and freight forwarding; insurance; financial transactions; corporate law; non-contractual claims) and dispute resolution.
Mr Maltsev is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Council of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, co-chair of the Russian Arbitration Association's working group on arbitration case law, and a member of the International Bar Association's (IBA) International Arbitration and Litigation Committees.
