I am a highly experienced Chartered Surveyor (graduating in 1988 and qualifying in 1991) and Property Consultant, being joint owner and Managing Director of a well-known and respected regional property consultancy.
I am a philanthropic and high-profile businessman who has invested significant time and effort into the Buckinghamshire business community over the past 15 years and awarded an MBE in the King's Birthday Honours 2024 for Services to Business in Buckinghamshire.
I was a Non-Executive Director and Vice Chair of the Buckinghamshire Local Enterprise Partnership for 9 years until December 2020 and played a significant and active role chairing many groups focused on infrastructure, transport and was also been heavily involved with governance.
I am a founding Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Buckinghamshire Business First, an organisation that supports 14,000 business members in Buckinghamshire and is the Growth Hub for the county.
My passion is to see other businesses succeed and to support the Buckinghamshire economy and in turn the national economy. I have done this by actively supporting organisations that encourage businesses to grow and prosper, including close interaction with stakeholders in local and national government.
I am driven with a strong work ethic, an influence-based management style that brings various stakeholders together and an infectious passion for achieving results across public/private sector teams.
I am experienced with chairing committees/meetings, public speaking and as a business owner experienced with running a private sector business in often challenging market conditions, dealing with HR issues, managing teams, finance issues, marketing, and business development.
I am used to dealing with complex and highly technical issues within my chosen career, including dealing with dispute resolution as a qualified Arbitrator. I have given evidence in the High Court and expert opinion across a range of built environment issues.
I have excellent interpersonal skills that have allowed me to build strong relationships.
