Personal bio
I am a Chartered Civil Engineer, with over 35 years’ working experience. My career to date has consisted of various roles within Designer, Principal Contractor and Client organisations and includes 21 years within rail infrastructure, 2 years with a local authority and 12 years in highways/civils design and construction. For the last 12 years I have been in a commercial role providing senior level support on higher risk/value contracts and those where there are contentious issues. In the past, I have managed large bodies of professional and operational staff, along with external design consultants and subcontractors. Delivery areas have included Rail, Highways and Airports and have included both civils and multi-discipline works, working in planned and reactive maintenance, medium sized design and build projects and larger, stand-alone engineering projects.
