George is a Barrister and the Managing Partner of George Z. Georgiou & Associates LLC. He is a highly respected litigator, arbitrator and mediator in Cyprus, with a reputation as a first-class advocate. He has a broad practice encompassing complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular emphasis on cross-border disputes and multi-jurisdictional projects, obtaining and defending urgent interim relief such as freezing injunctions, discovery orders, search orders and banker’s trust orders.
George often provides expert opinions in matters of Cypriot Law and international jurisdiction, and he is a legal adviser to numerous boards of local and international companies across various sectors, advising on corporate, commercial, regulatory, employment, property and contentious matters.
George is an Associate Tenant and part of the International Arbitration Group of Littleton Chambers, London, and a member of CIArb, IBA, LCIA, RCIS, ICC, CCCI and the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, amongst other associations. He is a trainer and lecturer on aspects of Cyprus law, both in Cyprus and abroad, and he contributes to legal publications & journals.
