Personal bio

I have practised as a barrister since 1990.
Since 2000, I have specialised in Building and Construction (including energy and infrastructure) matters involving litigation, arbitration, mediation, adjudication and expert determination. In 2015, I was appointed Queens (now Kings) counsel and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute. In September 2019, I was appointed Lord Chief Justice of the Kingdom of Tonga. At the end of my tenure in August 2023, I returned to Melbourne and rejoined the Victorian Bar where I have resumed practice in predominantly building and construction cases, with an interest in conducting domestic and international arbitrations. In 2024, I was appointed an Acting Judge of the Supreme court of Samoa.
