Leading a team of contracts and quantity surveyors at M/s. Galfar Al Misnad Engineering & Contracting W.L.L., as the Contracts and Commercial Manager for an infrastructure development project, involving FIDIC form of contracts with Public Works Department of Qatar. Assisted the project team in contractual, commercial, legal, and civil engineering matters that may have implications for the project. For a reputed construction company in Qatar, I led the contracts & tender team involving all types of construction in Oil and gas, Defence Projects, Industrial, Residential, Commercial, and Infrastructure projects e.g., Road works, landscape works, high-rise buildings/apartments, luxury hotels, shopping malls, Steel Structure PEB, Operation and Maintenance (O & M) works. Prepared initial assessment of the technical, financial, and schedule risks associated with the proposal. In addition, provided conceptual guidelines to the estimation team from the FEED drawings for EPIC Projects. Prepared and implementation of all pre-tender and post-tender checklists per company ISO procedures and formats. Prepared several contract close-out reports per contract requirements and led the analysis of lessons learned, reviewed the Statement of Final Account, including the final completion certificates. Negotiated the prices and terms of the Contract for several construction projects, and procurement of high-value orders of construction materials. For one of the fast-track fit-out projects of the Qatar Government, led an engagement of evaluating and prequalification of sub-contractors per company due diligence policy, selection, and recommendation of over 36 sub-contractors and sub-contract management throughout the project lifecycle. Prepared and pursued multimillion-dollar claims in accordance with the FIDIC contract terms and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) for US Government projects in Qatar. Liaised with the client / Public Works Authority of India, contractors, and local authorities related to any contractual matters for BOT, BOOT, DBFOT, O&M, and turnkey type of Contracts. Handled the following responsibility as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) for one of the largest bank in the United States to establish their facilities in India: Sourcing: Pre-evaluation and pre-qualification of vendors for the bidding process. Conducting pre-bid meets tender clarifications, setting deadline for tender or bid closing, collection of bids, tender opening in the presence of all tender committee members, techno-commercial evaluation, recommendation submission, and award of contract. Planning and scheduling: Preparing the project schedule, Project Execution Plan (PEP), tracking and reporting. Contract management: Interpretation of clauses and resolving issues related to contracts involving variations, change orders, claims, liquidated damages, change in design, and change in law and disputes.
