Possesses extensive industry qualifications and particular expertise in contract and commercial management and dispute avoidance and resolution. Combines 17 years’ construction experience with perspectives and insight from contractor side, employer side and private practice. Confident managing a wide variety of projects across multiple sectors, including complex, high-value NEC and FIDIC contracts. Committed to continuous learning and development. • Systech / Costain Plc: Managing £100million of a £2billion defence project, including commercial contract management and quantity surveying. Managing and implementing over 500 compensation events, some contentious, due to change. Providing commercial management services and dispute avoidance advice. Resolving a long-term issue with delays causing problems at C-level for all parties and assessing the value of 2,000 days of prolongation. Building a trusting relationship with the client, resulting in a contract extension from 5 months to 4 years. • International arbitration in the Middle East. • Adjudication: Sitting as an Adjudicator to decide on construction industry disputes, leveraging expertise in JCT, SBCC, NEC3/4 and FIDIC contracts.
