Personal bio

Jacob Henriquez (FCIArb) specializes in international construction law and dispute resolution. He is an experienced lawyer representing his clients in complex contentious and non-contentious matters in the Construction & Engineering, Energy, Infrastructure and Offshore sectors, offering robust and knowledgeable representation across a broad range of topics.

Of particular note is Jacob’s in-depth knowledge of the FIDIC standard forms of contract in which matters he has successfully represented and advised his clients on projects such as airports, (LNG) tank terminals and offshore/onshore windfarms. His publications on a number of FIDIC related topics in renowned Dutch construction law journals further underlines his FIDIC expertise. He also successfully completed the FIDIC Summer School at King’s College London.

Jacob represents clients before Dutch state courts as well as in complex (international) construction arbitration. He has represented clients at the Arbitration Board for the Building Industry (RvA), the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI), the ICC and at the LCIA. He also acts as a Dispute Board member. Jacob is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
