Capt. Arlton Alves, is a Maritime Consultant, Legal Consultant, International Arbitrator and Mediator, based in Hong Kong. He has served as a Captain in the Merchant Navy and is a specialist in oil and chemical tanker operations. He completed his Master of Arbitration & Dispute Resolution at City University of Hong Kong. He is a Fellow at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Fellow at the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators. He has been involved with the investigation of Serious Marine Related incidents and has represented Liberia, Malta and other Flag State Administrations, as an inspector for Maritime Safety. He has handled Arbitration matters, participated in mediation and in litigation matters, his expertise is in dispute resolution of Maritime related matters through Arbitration and Mediation.
