Personal bio
Jonathan Marks has been a full-time arbitrator and mediator since 1981, when he co-founded ENDISPUTE, the United States’ first full-service ADR firm. From 1994, he was vice-chairman of JAMS-ENDISPUTE. In 1999, Mr Marks founded MarksADR, LLC. He serves US-based and international clients. He focuses on complex, high-stakes arbitrations and mediations, involving consumer and commercial class actions, financial disputes, commercial contracts, professional malpractice, insurance and reinsurance coverage, intellectual property, antitrust and construction. Mr Marks graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School. He was president of the Harvard Law Review. He has also been a federal prosecutor, serving as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia; a litigation partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson in Los Angeles; Counsel and Associate Director of the US Peace Corps; and General Counsel of the US International Development Cooperation Agency. He served in India as a Peace Corps volunteer.
