Paul Winfield (www.winfield-adr.com) is a member of ADR Chambers in Toronto and has over 34 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor, claims advocate, director, mediator and adjudicator in a broad field of construction industries including: Transportation and Infrastructure Oil & Gas, process plants Utilities Airports Nuclear facilities Commercial Developments (residential, office and retail) Paul is also an adjudicator in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Paul has represented a variety of owners and contractors and has assisted legal counsel in adjudication and a variety of ADR forums worldwide. Paul has successfully worked for major contractors on a variety of projects, operating and managing at every level from site as a junior quantity surveyor to executive level and claims adviser on a range of strategies including lump sum, cost reimbursable, target cost and in the PPP/PFI environment. Paul has extensive experience on a variety of bespoke and standard form contracts including CCDC, FIDIC, New Engineering Contract (NEC), ICE and JCT Contracts. Paul qualified as a barrister in 2010, he is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and ADRIC. Paul's work was published in 2017, with contributions to 'Introduction to Construction Contract Management' (Routledge).
