Paul Winfield (www.winfield-adr.com) is a member of ADR Chambers in Toronto and has over 35 years of experience as a quantity surveyor, claims advocate, director, arbitrator, mediator and adjudicator in a broad field of construction industries including:

Transportation and Infrastructure
Oil & Gas, process plants
Utilities
Airports
Nuclear facilities
Commercial Developments (residential, office and retail)

Paul is also a federal adjudicator and an adjudicator in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Paul has represented a variety of owners and contractors and has assisted legal counsel in adjudication and a variety of ADR forums worldwide.

Paul has successfully worked for major contractors on a variety of projects, operating and managing at every level from site as a junior quantity surveyor to executive level and claims adviser on a range of strategies including lump sum, cost reimbursable, target cost and in the PPP/PFI environment.

Paul has extensive ADR and operational experience on a variety of bespoke and standard-form contracts, including CCDC, FIDIC, New Engineering Contract (NEC), ICE, and JCT Contracts.

Paul qualified as a barrister in 2010, he is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, Vice Chair of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Canada Branch, and is a member of ADRIC, ADRIO, ADRSK and ADRIA.

Paul's work was published in 2017, with contributions to 'Introduction to Construction Contract Management' (Routledge).
