Personal bio

I am a dynamic, meticulous and versatile Barrister-at-Law with excellent oral and written communication skills, both in English and French, coupled with a strong work ethic and the ability to digest information logically.

I was called to the Bar of England and Wales in July 2018 at the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, London and admitted to the Mauritian Bar in January 2020. Thanks to my international exposures I am fully capable of applying both English Common law and French Civil law.

The extensive scope of my private practice encompasses mainly commercial matters (i.e., M&A deals, trust, company law, insolvency and bankruptcy laws, maritime and shipping law, alternative dispute resolution) either as a litigator or consultant.

I have served as the Registrar of the Mediation and Arbitration Center (Mauritius) Ltd ('MARC’) since September 2021. In my capacity as Registrar, I am responsible for overseeing the administration of arbitration and mediation proceedings in adherence to the MARC Rules. Furthermore, I play a pivotal role in ensuring the centre maintains state-of-the-art case management procedures. Collaborating with distinguished figures such as the President of the MARC Court, Mr. Neil Kaplan CBE KC SBS, and the Chairman of the MARC Advisory Board, Dr. Jalal El Ahdab, I am also entrusted with the task of promoting and advancing the practice of mediation and arbitration on domestic, regional, and international levels.

My experience as the Registrar of the MARC in Mauritius has inspired me to further contribute to the field of alternative dispute resolution. I'm passionate about advancing and promoting ADR and aspire to play a significant role in enhancing the practice of arbitration on both domestic and international levels.
