Personal bio
Dr Alex Cheng is an experienced Family Physician with close to a decade of medical experience. He is concurrently a practicing lawyer at Donaldson & Burkinshaw LLP, Singapore's Oldest Independent Law Firm. Dr Cheng started his medical education at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2006 and graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery awarded by the National University of Ireland together with the awards of the Licentiates of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 2011. Dr Alex also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine from the National University of Singapore. Over the course of his medical career, Dr Alex has worked in various healthcare settings. His collective experience includes Medicine, General Surgery and Orthopaedics Surgery in departments across public hospitals, Accident and Emergency departments, Polyclinic and Health Promotion Board. Dr Alex also hold degrees in other disciplines; he owns Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws awarded by the University of London, Juris Doctor awarded by Singapore Management University; Master of Business Administration and Master of Professional Accounting awarded by Murdoch University, Perth, Australia.
