Anthony has considerable experience and a proven track record in complex and technical areas of law, but also has the expertise to provide commercially focused advice due to his in-house corporate counsel experience. Construction: Anthony is highly experienced in dealing with all areas of construction disputes, especially contractual payment disputes. He has particular expertise in construction Adjudication and has obtained millions of pounds for construction clients over many years. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has obtained their Diploma in construction Adjudication HMRC & Border Force: Anthony has extensive experience in matters involving HMRC. This includes dealing with VAT disputes and assessments and related penalties, as well as direct taxation issues under the Construction Industry Scheme. He also has considerable experience in assisting clients in the alcohol industry with complex disputes and issues involving HMRC and Border Force. This includes complex and high value disputes concerning seizures, licences, excise assessments and wrongdoing penalties. Corporate and Regulatory: As a former in house corporate counsel, Anthony has spent many years advising large companies on core internal and external business aspects and risk issues and continues to do so. This includes advising corporate clients on high value, complex contracts, as well as providing the negotiation and drafting skills needed to close out multinational deals. He is also experienced in advising on other complex matters such as data protection, clinical confidentiality and wider medical law.
