Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Arbitrator, Adjudicator, Expert Witness and Contract Expert with over 40 years’ experience in educational, commercial, medical, industrial, high tech, retail, hotel and hospitality, mixed use developments, institutional, community land development, sporting facilities, golf course, equestrian centre, industrial, oil and gas and business estates, infrastructure, multi and single–family residential projects; in United Kingdom, Ireland, Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Yemen), Levant (Syria), Central Asia (Kazakhstan), Asia (Korea and Singapore), Australasia and North Africa (Morocco, Libya, Egypt and Sudan). Pro-active, dynamic team leader with imagination, verve and resilience having held senior management positions in Head Office and on Project Sites leading large teams of Quantity Surveyors and Contract Administrators and having an analytical approach to the built environment, providing contractual advice to legal, financial, and commercial departments. Working either as a consultant or contractor; trouble-shooter, problem solver and strategist regarding profit maximisation; mediator and conciliator with claims expertise for both Contractors and Clients. Having initially trained in quantity surveying with one of the UK’s premier professional quantity surveying firms, professional standing has been evidenced with a degree in quantity surveying, Master of Laws (2no.), Fellow of the RICS, Fellow of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, practicing member of the Academy of Experts, Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators and trained conciliator and assessor for APC candidates
