Personal bio
Evaristo graduated from law school at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He holds a Diploma in Negotiation, Mediation and Arbitration from Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, a Master of Laws in Chinese and Comparative Law from City University of Hong Kong and attended a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the University of New South Wales, Sidney. He practiced civil and commercial litigation and arbitration in Mexico. He worked in the China Practice Department of a Hong Kong law firm. In 2009 he founded La Nao Group, a consulting firm helping companies establishing and doing business in China and Hong Kong, and Chinese companies entering in Latin America. His focus has been international trade law and international dispute resolution. In 2008 he founded and presided The Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the first Latin American chamber of commerce in Hong Kong. He currently serves as Chairman of the America´s Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. He constantly advises Latin-American consuls in Hong Kong and Guangzhou and hosts high government officials from Latin America. He has greeted and accompanied Mexican president Peña Nieto in all his visits to Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing and Chilean President Eduardo Frei in his visit to Hong Kong. He has been a guest speaker at universities in Mexico and the US.
