Chong Wei is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor has been actively involved in the construction and engineering industry over 20 years in Malaysia, Middle East and Vietnam. He regularly acts as an adjudicator, mediator, expert witness, expert advisor and party representative for statutory adjudication on construction disputes. He holds qualifications in Building, Construction Project Management, Business Administration, International Commercial Arbitration. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Hong Kong Institute of Construction Adjudicators (HKICAdj), Asian International Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIAC), Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (MIArb), and Malaysian Society of Adjudicators (MSAdj). Chong Wei has been empanelled as adjudicator by the UK Adjudicators, HKICAdj, AIAC. Furthermore, he also empanelled as a mediator by the AIAC and a CIArb Accredited Mediator. He was a former Board Member of the RICS Malaysia and he has been appointed by the RICS as Licensed Trainer to conduct training courses of Delay and Disruption, Loss and Expenses, Variations Management, Construction Contract Administration to members and non-members. He also passionate to train the next generation of construction professionals where he has been conducting part-time and guest lecturing in various private universities in Malaysia for quantity surveying undergraduate degree programme. Chong Wei is based in Malaysia and he is the director of the WCW Consulting, a construction consultancy practice regulated by RICS and specialising in commercial and contract management, claims and dispute resolution in the construction and engineering industry. He is also a HRDF Certified Trainer and frequently conducts training for major organisations in Malaysia and overseas.
