Personal bio

English law qualified solicitor-advocate specialising in cross-border commercial litigation & arbitration, insolvency & company disputes, construction, sports law, and public law. Accepts appointments as arbitrator. British / Australian.

Partner and commercial litigation team lead in the dispute resolution group at a leading regional firm in the UK, based in London and the Thames Valley. Former in-house disputes counsel at a FTSE Plc.

As a lawyer, I advise on disputes involving trading issues nationally and internationally across all industry sectors, and have particular experience in environmental energy (including waste & renewables), construction & insurance, technology, pharma., and in commercial sport & media. I am also a partner in the firm’s cross-practice environmental group.

Substantial experience of ADR, including mediation, expert determinations, and international arbitration (incl. ICC, LCIA, SIAC, UNCITRAL, and CAS rules), and industry-specific arbitrations (e.g., GAFTA, FOSFA, BCA rules). Experience has included disputes in England & Wales, Europe, USA, Asia, and offshore, various jurisdictional issues, and sitting as arbitrator.

In a sports capacity, I am on the tribunal panel appointment list for the Australia & New Zealand Sports Law Association; the Joint Disciplinary Panel member for the Men’s and Women’s British Basketball League (BBL) - the UK’s only professional basketball leagues; and the Swim England Dispute Resolution Panel member - the national governing body for water sports in England.
