Personal bio

Chengkai Wang is a partner at Dentons' Taipei office, where he brings his expertise to a variety of practice areas, including employment and labor law, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, data privacy, commercial disputes, and ESG practices. Throughout his career, Chengkai has successfully represented an array of international and domestic clients, including private equity firms, in their investments across Taiwan and globally. His work spans a diverse range of sectors, such as oil and energy, manufacturing, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and TMT. In his commitment to professional service and development, Chengkai serves as Vice-Chair for both the Energy Law Committee and the Artificial Intelligence Development and Response Committee at the Taiwan Bar Association. Chengkai is dual-qualified to practice law in Taiwan and New York state. He received his LL.M., LL.B., and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from National Taiwan University, followed by an LL.M. from Columbia Law School. A native Mandarin Chinese speaker, Chengkai also possesses fluency in English and Taiwanese, enabling him to navigate complex legal landscapes and communicate effectively across cultures.
