Personal bio
Miriam is a partner in PRK Partners, one of the largest and leading law firms operating in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. She obtained LL.M degree from University of London in international arbitration and commercial law and Master’s Degree from the University of Economics, Faculty of Commerce. In 2016 she finished her PHD studies at the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava (PHD Thesis: Limitations on Use of Arbitration in Commercial Disputes). She worked for 6 years in tax division of the Bratislava Office of Andersen and then for 8 years at White & Case in Bratislava where she was named a partner in 2009. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is regularly acting as arbitrator in arbitrations under ICC Rules, VIAC Rules and rules of the Arbitration Court of Slovak Bar Association. Since 2015 she lectures on international commercial arbitration at the Comenius University. Qualification in both economic and legal field allows her to provide top legal services in assignments requiring complex legal and economic analyses. By working for local and international corporate clients, Miriam gained particular experience mainly in the area of tax, corporate law and dispute resolutions including clients´ representation in tax litigation and arbitration. Miriam is Vice-president of the Slovak Chamber of Tax Advisors, a member of Tax Committee established by the American Chamber of Commerce and an attorney at law admitted to the Chamber of Advocates. She represents the Chamber of Tax Advisers in the Fiscal Committee of the Confederation Fiscale Européenne (CFE).
