Gerald Lee is a Career Strategist-cum-Management Consultant specialising in leadership development and transformation at all stages. He has extensive experience in supporting executives and professionals achieve their goals in work and life. A former Partner at two global executive search firms where he cofounded one of their Hong Kong offices, Gerald has served on the Board and Executive Committee of various independent companies and non-profit organisations, in the capacity of Advisor, Chairman, Director and Vice President. Since 2000, Gerald has been placing C-suite and senior executives into Fortune 500 Companies, as well as locally-listed corporations, statutory bodies and non-profit organisations. With a wealth of advisory and consulting experience, Gerald advises corporate boards and CEOs in succession planning and corporate governance, among other management issues. He works with clients in the private and public sectors across the Asia Pacific region particularly in Greater China. Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin, Gerald is a Mediator accredited by the Centre of Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) and a Member (Mediation) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb). Born in Hong Kong and educated in the US and the UK, Gerald read East Asian Studies with a focus on Modern Chinese Intellectual and Political History at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and Cambridge University. He later completed his postgraduate studies in both Law and Buddhist Studies at the University of Hong Kong. A multimedia personality who cohosts several internet and radio programmes, Gerald is also an active fundraiser, partnering with groups and organisations to promote Body Donation for teaching and medical research purposes, and advocates animal welfare, orphan care, special educational/employment needs (SEN) and restoration of historical spiritual sites. In his free time, he enjoys reading, meditating and travelling.
