I am an experienced engineer and researcher with more than 30 years of diverse experience in construction, aerospace and academia. Involved in construction projects around the world with total value exceeding 20 billion USD such as airports, building development projects, amusement parks, tunnels, bridges, highways, industrial plants, power plants and lifeline systems. My areas of expertise include construction project management, risk analysis and management, project coordination and control, contract management, claims / disputes avoidance and management, quality control / quality assurance, systems design and development, structural analysis and design, computer aided design and computer programming. As a researcher, I conducted academic research related to risk analysis of natural and man-made disasters, machine learning and social network analysis of complex systems such as construction networks and networks of open collaboration. I am a registered professional civil engineer in Cyprus, associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber. Passionate about technology and computers, I like photography, having stimulating discussions while enjoying good wine with friends (the original meaning of "symposium") and tinkering with computers and electronics.
