Civil Engineer (Universidade da Amazônia – Brazil), with a Masters in Construction Management (Florida International University – USA) and a postgraduate degree in International Construction Law (University of the West of England, Bristol – UK). Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – MCIArb (UK) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors – MRICS (UK). As a commercial manager and contract administrator manager, combines extensive knowledge of construction, legislation, negotiation, dispute resolution techniques (negotiation, mediation and arbitration), procurement and supplier relationships, derived from over 30 years’ experience, working for constructions conglomerates across 10 countries, in the preparation, analysis, negotiation and administration of engineering and construction contracts, including preparation of claims. Has knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, JCT, PPC2000 contract models and bespoke contracts.
