Personal bio
Javier is a dually qualified lawyer currently admitted to practice in both The Law Society of England & Wales and The Madrid Bar. He is also a Fellow member of the CIArb (Chartered Institute of Arbitrators) and a board member of the recently-established “CIArb - Iberian Chapter”. Javier has lived and worked in several countries including Spain, The Netherlands, The United Kingdom, Morocco and Saudi Arabia. He also has working experience in many other regions and countries in the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. Javier -having worked in both private practice and as in-house lawyer for leading companies operating in different industries- has vast experience advising on contentious and non-contentious matters, including litigation (court and arbitration), construction, renewable energy, FIDIC contract suite, EPC issues, claims and contract management, international trade and other corporate and commercial issues. Javier holds an LLB from the University of Granada (Spain) and three LLMs from universities in Spain and the United Kingdom.
