Personal bio
Arleo’s primary areas of practice are litigation, arbitration, mediation, intellectual property, and sports and entertainment law. He is presently the Executive Director and Deputy Secretary General of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, Inc. (PDRCI), Chair of its Secretariat Committee, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Sports Arbitration, Vice-Chair of the Mediation and Negotiation Committee, and part of the Rules Revision Committee. Aside from acting as counsel for clients, he has served as mediator and arbitrator in commercial and sports related disputes, and is frequently invited by Philippine government agencies to give lectures on alternative dispute resolution. He is an accredited arbitrator and mediator of PDRCI, the National Arbitration and Mediation (New York), and included in the World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center's List of Mediators and Arbitrators. He is also accredited by the Department of Justice - Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution in the fields of arbitration, mediation, and negotiation. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), California Arbitration (CalArb), Society of Construction Law Philippines (SCLP), and the Philippine Institute of Arbitrators (PIArb) where he served as its inaugural Assistant Vice President for Special Interest Groups - Sports. Arleo obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Ateneo de Manila Law School and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from University of California, Berkeley - School of Law where he also received a certificate of specialization in law and technology. He earned his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Secondary Education degrees from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
