Abdulla Al Roken is a Senior Advocate in the Dispute Resolution Department at ADG Legal’s Dubai office. As an Emirati Lawyer, Abdulla possesses a wealth of experience and expertise, making him a trusted advocate before the Courts of First Instance and the Court of Appeal. His practice also extends to active participation in arbitrations and litigation cases reviewed by courts in the financial free zones of the UAE, notably the ADGM and DIFC.
Abdulla holds a Master’s degree in Public Law from the University of Sharjah and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Law from the United Arab Emirates University. Prior to joining ADG Legal, he served in the Dubai Government as a Legal Officer and later practiced law as a licensed Advocate in Dubai.
During his time as a law student, Abdulla demonstrated his leadership qualities by serving as the President and Founding Member of the United Arab Emirates University Legal Clinic. Additionally, he held the position of Vice President of the United Arab Emirates University Law Students’ Association, showcasing his dedication to legal education and student advocacy. He also participated in several international, regional, and national moot court competitions.
Abdulla is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and the National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce in the United Arab Emirates (ICC UAE). His expertise also extends to serving as a sole arbitrator in Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC).
Fluent in Arabic, Abdulla is not only a native speaker but also highly proficient in spoken and written English, enabling him to effectively navigate legal nuances in both languages.
