Personal bio
Leyla is a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution department at TripleOKLaw LLP in Nairobi, Kenya. She specializes in commercial litigation, employment & labour disputes, constitutional & human rights matters and has expertise in regulated industry sectors including telecommunication and aviation sector. She is a Certified Mediator, an arbitrator and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and represents parties both in arbitration and mediation proceedings. Leyla has been trained as a Tribunal Secretary and has an LLM in International Trade and Investment Law in Africa from the University of Pretoria. She has been appointed in a number of domestic commercial dispute as the Sole Arbitrator.
Leyla is the immediate Co-Chair of the Lagos Court of Arbitration Young Arbitrators Network (LCA-YAN) and is the Chair of the ICC Kenya, Customs and Trade Facilitation Commission. She is also a member of the Law Society of Kenya ADR Committee and serves as secretary of the African Users’ Council of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).
