Personal bio
Professor Aymen Masadeh received his education in both the Civil and Common legal systems. He completed his LLB degree at the University of Jordan, LLM at Aberdeen University in the UK, and obtained his PhD from Bristol University, also in the UK. Throughout his career, he has worked in various countries, including the UK, Jordan, and Qatar. In 2011, he made the decision to move to Dubai with his family to embark on an exciting new chapter in their lives.
Professor Masadeh is actively involved in arbitration proceedings. He takes on various roles, including serving as a sole arbitrator, chairman of a tribunal, and co-arbitrator. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a board member of the International Construction Law Association. His expertise has led him to be part of the panel of arbitrators at several esteemed arbitration centers, such as

Currently, Professor Masadeh holds multiple esteemed positions at the British University in Dubai. He serves as a professor of law, as well as the Head of the PhD program in Business Law and Dean of the Faculty of Business & Law. Alongside his academic responsibilities, he has made notable contributions to his field. He has published extensively in reputable journals and has been invited to speak at numerous international conferences and events. His research primarily focuses on contract law, construction law, business law, arbitration, and dispute resolution.
