Mr. Ming Wu is a Partner at Beijing Dacheng Law Offices, LLP (Shanghai) (also known as “Dentons Shanghai office”). Mr. Wu is dually qualified to practise law in PRC and England & Wales. He started practicing law in China in 1999 and was admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2012. He has extensive experience in the areas of cross-border litigation and international arbitration. Mr. Wu graduated from East China University of Political Science and Law and was awarded the degree of LLB in 1999. Mr. Wu studied full-time Graduate Diploma in Law course and Legal Practice Course with Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Trent University from 2008 to 2011. He was awarded the Graduate Diploma with Commendation in 2009 and the Professional Diploma with Distinction in 2011. The NTU also granted the degree of Bachelor of Laws with Second Class Honours (1st Division) to him in 2011. Mr. Wu studied part-time anti-corruption course with International Anti-Corruption Academy from 2016 to 2019 and was awarded the degree of Master of Arts in Anti-Corruption Studies in 2019. For over 20 years’ practising, Mr. Wu has profound experience in dispute resolution, including international arbitration. He has been frequently representing PRC and foreign clients in litigation at home and abroad (PRC, UK and USA) and in international arbitration (including CIETAC, ICC International Court of Arbitration, HKIAC, Singapore International Arbitration Centre, Court of Arbitration for Sport, etc.). In particular, when exposed to dispute resolution where different jurisdictional natures of civil law and common law are involved, he excels in providing efficient and strategic dispute resolution solutions for his clients and strives for maximizing their interests through assembling a transnational legal service team with lawyers from other jurisdictions. The complex commercial dispute cases in which Mr. Wu participated mainly involved cross-border investment disputes, disputes over control of company, equity transfer disputes, joint venture disputes, sport-related disputes, etc. In September 2019, Mr. Wu was selected as one of the top 10 Chinese E-sports lawyers by LEGALBAND. From 2020 to 2022, Mr. Wu was listed as one of China’s top lawyers in the field of "Sports and Entertainment" by LEGALBAND.
