PROFILE 2022 Prof. Musili Wambua is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), with close to twenty years of active practice in arbitration. He is the immediate former Chancellor of the University of Embu, and currently a Full Professor of Law at the University of Nairobi’s School of Law, where he teaches Corporate Culture, Ethics and Governance to Graduate students. Apart from being an active practitioner in Arbitration, he has also been a passionate practitioner of Corporate Governance in the various public institutions he has headed and reformed including the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) and University of Embu. He has published in the areas of International Commercial Arbitration , Corporate Culture, Ethics and Governance and has served in senior public service appointments including Commissioner with the Constitution of Kenya Review Commission (CKRC)-(2000-2005); Chairman of the Task Force on the Review of Maritime Laws (2002-2003); Chairman of the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB)- (2013-2016); Chairman of the Task Force on Rights of Persons detained, held in custody or imprisoned (2011);and currently the Vice Chair of the Kenya Law Reform Commission (KLRC).
