Personal bio

I have been a passionate arbitration researcher and practitioner for almost ten years.

I started my professional career at Istanbul Şehir (Marmara) University School of Law, Department of Civil Procedural Law and Enforcement & Insolvency Law as a research assistant, in 2017 January. I worked with leading international arbitration professor Ali Yeşilırmak. Since 2019 October, I have been working at Ibn Haldun University School of Law Department of Civil Procedural Law and Enforcement & Insolvency Law, as an assistant Professor. I completed my master thesis on international arbitration (“Arbitral Decisions and Final Awards in Arbitration”, in Turkish) with distinction in 2019. I completed a Ph.D. degree in private law. The thesis subject was "Party-appointed Experts in international arbitration: impact on Proceedings, problems and Solutions".

I am the Vice Director at the Ibn Haldun University Dispute Resolution Centre where I research contemporary issues of international arbitration and mediation.

At the same time, I act in various roles (arbitrator, secretary, counsel) in national and international arbitration, both ad-hoc and institutional (ICC, ITOTAM, ISTAC).
