Beyani is a lawyer and researcher in legal and socio-economic issues. He has specialized in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as mediation and arbitration, particularly concerning individual and collective labour rights. On a day-to-day basis, he has provided legal advice on commercial issues, particularly on national and international standards, and prepared position papers for engagement with relevant stakeholders. Beyani has influenced policy and legislative changes in areas such as; trade and business, skills development, work readiness programmes, gender equality, fundamental principles of rights at work, child labour and HIV Aids at the workplace. His main area of work in his current role is to ensure the enforcement of public governance laws towards enhancing trust in the public service.
