Helen Waters

Helen is responsible for People and Development at Ciarb, has oversight of the volunteer strategy, and leads the transformation team ensuring holistic change management.

Before joining Ciarb in December 2023 she worked as an HR Director at an independent school with international franchising.

She started her HR career at Marks and Spencer after nearly a decade of retail management. She then moved into the Education sector where she worked both in HR and Governance. Helen is committed to putting the people agenda at the centre of transformational change in businesses.

Helen has an MA in Economics focussed on how economic modelling can help formulate welfare policies. She volunteers as a school governor, previously chaired the independent monitoring board at HMP Brixton, and is committed to ensuring that socio-economic barriers to success are removed.
