Notice of Annual General Meeting of the United Arab Emirates Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Branch

Take notice that the Tenth Annual General Meeting of the UAE Branch is to be held on 15 February 2021 through an online webcast at 6.30 in the evening. The decision to hold the AGM as a webcast is due to the current Government Restrictions and the impact of COVID-19.

The purpose of the meeting will be to receive the Report of the Chair and the Financial Statements of the Branch together with the Report of the Auditor. The membership will also be asked to approve the election of new members to the Branch Committee for the 2020 to 2021 year.

The Agenda for the Annual General Meeting will be as follows:

  • To receive the Chair’s Report.
  • To receive and approve the Financial Statements and the Auditor’s Report.
  • To approve the election of new Committee Members for the forthcoming year.
  • To consider and if appropriate vote upon any Special Business.

Special Business

Any member wishing to raise any matter at the Annual General Meeting should give written notice to the Honorary Secretary not less than twenty-one days before the date of the meeting (i.e. no later than 25 January 2021).
