On the 27 and 28 March 2018, the Kenya YMG held an event at the Kenya School of Law, the only Bar school in Kenya.
Speakers over the two days discussed the main types of ADR, opportunities in ADR, the Young Members Group, CIArb training pathways, and discussed the benefits of CIArb Student Membership.
The speakers were Mercy Okiro (Chairperson YMG Kenya), James Ngotho Kariuki (Vice Chairperson YMG), Samuel Mbiriri Nderitu (Vice Chairperson CIArb Kenya), Justus Munyithia, Wilfred Mutubwa, Dorcas Endoo and Vanessa Wakasiaka.
Following the event, an interactive Q&A session was held where students opened up the discussion further with insightful questions.
The administration have expressed interest in having intensive arbitration training at the school in the near future.
