The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Young members Group (YMG) is delighted to announce the results of the essay competition 2020. This year’s competition invited participants to prepare a procedural order and explanatory note in relation to virtual hearings. The winner will be profiled in the CIArb YMG newsletter.
First place goes to Nicholas Tam MCIArb
Nicholas is an Asia-based offshore litigator handling complex multi-jurisdictional disputes spanning banking, insolvency and restructuring, shareholder disputes, trusts, and general commercial matters. Read Nicholas Tam’s bio here.

The runner-up goes to Marcus Liew ACIArb
Marcus assists in arbitral proceedings as tribunal secretary or law clerk to the residents of The Arbitration Chambers. Read Marcus Liew’s bio here.

Third place goes to Subhiksh Vasudev
Subhiksh is an Indian qualified advocate and is certified to practice law all over India. He is also a part-qualified English solicitor (MCT, QLTS) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication engineering. Read Subhiksh Vasudev’s bio here.
