The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators expresses its sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Thomas D Halket who sadly died on 24 November 2021 after a short illness.
Thomas was a Fellow, Chartered Arbitrator and President of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (2019). He was an international arbitrator and mediator for over thirty years and will be a great loss to the ADR community.

Significant progress on Advisory Centre for International Investment Law at UNCITRALIn 2017, UNCITRAL Working Group III (WGIII) was launched and was tasked with working on procedural reform of the investor state dispute settlement (ISDS) system. From 1-5 April 2024, Ciarb participated in the 48th session of WGIII in its capacity as an observer delegate.
