Ciarb signs MoU in support of AMACG

Ciarb has signed an MoU, confirming it as a supporting organisation of the newly formed AMACG, which aims to support the growth of member organisations in the Asia and MENA regions.

The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Ciarb) is confirmed as a supporting organisation of the Asia MENA ADR Cooperative Group (AMACG).

Ciarb has signed a memorandum of understanding with the TCC ADR Centre, the founding organisation behind AMACG. Under the agreement, the two organisations will work collaboratively in support of AMACG’s aim, which is to support the growth of and collaboration between member organisations across the Asia and MENA regions.

AMACG’s broad aims include:

  • Capacity building
  • Knowledge sharing
  • Resource optimisation
  • Enhanced cross-border business opportunities
  • Global marketing
  • Networking
  • International collaboration
  • Research and innovation

Catherine Dixon, CEO of Ciarb, said, “We have seen extraordinary interest and growth in private dispute resolution in the MENA and Asia regions. This has led to the recent establishment of Ciarb Branches in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Ciarb is pleased to be a supporting organisation of AMACG. By working collaboratively, organisations across these regions can improve and enhance the promotion and adoption of effective dispute resolution more effectively.”

Mian Sheraz Javaid, Ciarb Pakistan Branch Chair and Chair of the TCC ADR Centre, the organisation behind AMACG, said, “I am delighted that Ciarb is a supporting organisation of AMACG. We aim to improve access to justice, as well as training and work opportunities for dispute resolution professionals across the regions. I am heartened by the level of interest in the Group from member organisations and the willingness to work together.”
