June 10 2018 witnessed the 60th anniversary of the signing of one of UNCITRAL‘s most successful pieces of work, the New York Convention, The Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards.
This auspicious occasion was celebrated by Audley Sheppard QC, Chairman of the Board of the LCIA, Jonathan Wood, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and Ian Gaunt, President of the London Maritime Arbitrators’ Association, at a breakfast hosted by Audley.

Significant progress on Advisory Centre for International Investment Law at UNCITRALIn 2017, UNCITRAL Working Group III (WGIII) was launched and was tasked with working on procedural reform of the investor state dispute settlement (ISDS) system. From 1-5 April 2024, Ciarb participated in the 48th session of WGIII in its capacity as an observer delegate.
