Stephen Robertson has 13 years of experience working internationally in the construction industry on a variety of major building, oil and gas, power and infrastructure projects across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

He has been based in Qatar since 2011 during which time he assisted his clients through a varied range of complex issues related to the construction industry, providing dispute resolution and avoidance, commercial and contractual management and advisory support services on a multitude of projects throughout Europe and the Middle East including some of the world’s largest and highest profile undertakings, including the Doha Expressway, the Doha Metro, the FIFA World Cup 2022 and the Saudi Aramco expansion and upgrade.

He commenced his professional career in the United Kingdom working with a nationwide main contractor as a Project Surveyor in charge of multiple projects of varying values and complexity including secondary schools, healthcare facilities, retail parks and whiskey distilleries.

In 2015 he achieved RICS certification as a commercial and civil Mediator and in 2017 he obtained an LLM in Construction Law majoring in both adjudication and arbitration. Most recently in 2019, he obtained a Diploma in International Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
