Personal bio
I am a highly competent and experienced construction planner and forensic delay analyst with over 22 years extensive knowledge and understanding in the planning and project management of ‘live’ projects. I am very experienced in the preparation and defence of claims on behalf of both contractors and employers in the UK, South Africa, Australia, and the Middle East. I have worked on a wide range of major infrastructure projects including civil, structures, roads, bridges, rail, marine, airports, data centres, energy, nuclear, power, and renewable energy schemes. I have also worked on a variety of building projects at all stages of the process. I have a detailed understanding of standard form construction contracts and their application to the monitoring and assessment of matters relating to time. I am well acquainted with major planning software tools involving Primavera P6, Asta Power Project (including BIM 4D Planning), CCS and MS Project. This extensive experience enables me to undertake robust analysis of ‘live’ projects to ensure that programmes are achievable and to identify and resolve any potential problems which may occur. I am well versed in financial planning and management of projects and apply this knowledge to my work. Where I have been engaged during the latter stages of a project, my understanding of construction and engineering, coupled with my ability to identify the most appropriate means of delay analysis, has proved invaluable in conducting forensic delay analysis, culminating in the preparation/defence of claims. I have prepared independent Expert Reports which have been used by tribunals in deciding disputes.
