Ciarb Young Members group presents this one day conference is targeted at approximately 200 arbitration practitioners, including barristers, advocates, counsel in arbitral institutions, and funders. The keynote address will be delivered by the Honourable Justice Steven Chong.
The conference is intended to provide a platform for interaction and discussion amongst arbitration practitioners on topical issues in international arbitration. A special focus has been placed on issues of interest to young arbitration practitioners seeking to begin or develop their careers in this practice area. To this end, the panel discussions will touch on varied subjects such as career paths in international arbitration, working with experts, and the keys to advocacy. The final panel will involve a substantive discussion on recent developments in international arbitration, with an emphasis on how to navigate some of the difficult issues that have arisen in these developments. Speakers from diverse backgrounds, which include senior members of the circuit, such as judges and arbitrators, have been invited to speak and share their unique experiences on these subjects
